Care Big

The Teddy Bear you’re holding isn’t just a toy—it’s a superhero for sustainability! Regular Teddy Bears are made with brand-new materials that create waste, but your ECO Origins™ friend is made entirely from recycled stuff, like plastic bottles. That means less trash in landfills, cleaner oceans, and a safer home for animals everywhere.

Every time you hug your Teddy Bear, you’re reminded of how important it is to care for the planet—and by showing others how to help, you can inspire them to make changes, too!

Recycled Bears Done Right!

Ever seen a Teddy Bear claiming to be “recycled” and wondered if it really is? We did too! It turns out, many teddies only have a teeny tiny recycled part but still use the claim. Wild, right?

Some even say “all new materials” on their labels. How can that be!? Shouldn’t recycling mean no new materials? (Spoiler: it does!)

That’s why at ECO Origins™ we’re doing it right. Our Teddy Bears are 100% recycled—from their soft fur to all the fixins, including the packaging—because better ECO teddies mean a better planet!

Why are Recycled Teddy Bears important?

When we recycle plastic, we save CO2 because it uses way less energy than making new plastic. Making new plastic takes tons of energy, which sends CO2 into the air and that’s not great for our planet! But when we recycle, we’re using what we already have, so we don’t need to burn extra fuel or make more CO2. It’s like giving the Earth a big, happy high-five and helping to keep things clean for everyone—plants, animals, and all of us!

What is CO2?

CO2, or carbon dioxide, is a gas that gets released when we burn things like gas, coal, or oil to make energy. Every time we make stuff, it creates CO2, and if there’s too much of it, it can harm the planet. This affects animals’ homes and can make it harder for them to survive.

How is ECO ORIGINS™ Different?

At ECO Origins™, we didn’t just stop at making toys 100% recycled—that’s just the start of the adventure! We wanted to go further and shine a spotlight on the animals themselves.

Who are they? How do they live? Are they in danger? And most importantly, how can you help? Each plush comes with stories, facts, and inspiration to connect you to these incredible creatures and their habitats.
Together, we can do something amazing—help protect these animals, their homes, and our planet. With ECO Origins™, it’s more than a bear—it’s a mission to make a real difference! 🌍🐾

100% recycled materials

Fun and Educational hang tag

A recycled teddy bear wasn’t enough—we wanted to make learning fun too! Every ECO Origins™ animal comes with a hang tag packed with cool facts about their species, habitats, and ways to help protect them. With silly drawings and fun tidbits, it’s like a ticket to the animal kingdom, inspiring curiosity and action.

Conservation ‘Call to Action’

ECO Origins™ is more than just a teddy bear—it’s a chance to make a difference! Each animal connects you to groups working hard to save habitats and protect endangered species. With a special webpage for each bear, you can dive deeper into their stories and find out how you can help make an impact.

Soft and Sustainable Quality

Recycled doesn’t mean sacrificing quality! ECO Origins™ teddy bears are super soft, hypoallergenic, and made with durable, eco-friendly materials. Perfect for cuddling, safe for kids, and designed to last—these teddy bear companions are as sustainable as they are snuggly.

How does Recycled Plastic become a bear?

Did you know your cuddly teddy bear might’ve started as a water bottle? It’s true! Here’s how it all works:
  • Old plastic bottles are collected and recycled.
  • They’re cleaned, sorted, and broken into tiny pieces (called granules).
  • Those granules get melted down and turned into silky threads.
  • The threads are woven into soft fabric, dyed, and made ready for sewing.
  • Finally, the fabric is cut, stitched, and shaped into your plush friend!

By turning bottles into teddy bears, we’re not only helping the environment but also creating super soft friends you can hug!

Why Does It Matter?

Testing and Certifications

At ECO Origins™, we believe creating fun toys should also mean protecting the planet!  That’s why we make sure every Teddy Bear is made with 100% recycled materials, and we take extra steps to make sure everything we do is eco-friendly. Our process is like a treasure hunt for sustainability, where each part of our toy—whether it’s the fabric, stuffing, or packaging—is tracked and tested to meet the highest standards.

We work with trusted organizations like GRS (Global Recycled Standard), OEKO-TEX®, and INTERTEK to make sure every bear is not just fun to cuddle but also safe and responsible. GRS Level 4 certification means all our materials are verified as 100% recycled, including rPET—which stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate, a special kind of plastic made from recycled bottles! These experts check everything—from the materials used to how it’s made—to ensure we’re doing our part to help the environment. So, when you choose ECO Origins™, you know you’re hugging a bear that’s been carefully crafted to help the planet, one recycled part at a time!

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)

The GRS certification ensures that every material used in ECO Origins™ products comes from recycled sources, both pre-consumer and post-consumer. This certification tracks the recycled content all the way from its source to the final product, ensuring that our plushies meet the highest environmental standards. It’s important for us because it guarantees our products are made from real recycled materials and helps us reduce waste, making a positive impact on the planet.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Conformity Certification Testing

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification tests ECO Origins™ plushies to make sure they are free from harmful chemicals. This testing ensures that all the materials used—like fabrics, dyes, and thread—are safe for both people and the planet. With this certification, we can promise that our plushies are safe, hypoallergenic, and free from toxic substances, so you can enjoy your new friend with peace of mind.

INTERTEK ITS Transaction Certificates

The INTERTEK ITS Transaction Certificates track and verify the entire supply chain of ECO Origins™ products, ensuring transparency and accountability from start to finish. These certificates guarantee that the recycled materials used in our plushies are properly documented and ethically sourced. It’s a critical part of our commitment to integrity and sustainability, making sure that our products are not only eco-friendly but also responsibly produced.
